Have you ever gotten a telephone call (or maybe many) from someone named David? And David has such broken English that you can hardly understand him? “David my ass!”

Let me tell you what “David” and his cronies did to my hubby and me. Last September of 2018 I got a call, (one of many), supposedly from Microsoft telling me my computer needed work. Well, after putting them off for a little while, I decided to have them look into it. I told them we have the Geek Squad from Best Buy who take care of all of that. David said, “we are part of the Geek Squad through Microsoft”. Plus, I figured it’s Microsoft, how bad could it be. The company’s name was Global Fixit.

Before I knew it, this company of thieves had remote control of my pc. That was okay I thought because like the Geek Squad, they needed to have remote control of my pc. They worked on the pc and it was fine, they charged me 330.00 for their services.

Okay now fast forward to Jan of 2019. I kept getting these calls from “David” who talks with a mouthful of “Shit”, stating that the services that they charged me for in Sept. had to be refunded to me because something went wrong and they were being shut down. Although I was skeptical and kept putting them off, my hubby questioned my thinking. “If you have a refund coming for that amount of money, why don’t you follow through with them? Are you just going to walk away from a refund of 400.00?”

I called the number 806-203-4843 and asked them what this was all about. “David,” told me about the refund and what to do to get it back. I typed in Teamviewer and a popup appeared, I followed the prompts and before I knew it he had control of my pc. I told him frantically, “you have access to my computer and I don’t like that.” He said it’s fine ma’am, all will be taken care of. Just don’t hang up.

To make a long story short, they deposited 4,000.00 into my savings account and then asked me if it was correct. I said, “NO you gave me too much money”. He stated that “he would be reprimanded heavily if he didn’t get the overage back”. The whole time he had the remote control, he was giving me all kinds of information to write down, (keeping me busy so I wouldn’t see what was happening on the screen. But I did!.

He said the only way to get his money back to him was to go to Best Buy and get 4 best buy gift cards, each for 500.00, that’s only 2,000.00 I still needed another 1,000.00 to cover the difference between the refund and the overpayment of 4000.00. He said I could keep the difference to cover the refund. I had to call him with the numbers when I left Best Buy and again when I left Walmart. We headed back home but I was not to open my computer until he called me again. Well, “don’t tell me not to!”

What he did was to transfer 4000.00 from my checking account, (which I was not watching because I was working with my savings account). I was not supposed to see this transaction, the only reason I did, was that I opened the pc before he said to. Now, I’m crazy!. “You never deposited your own money into my account. It was my own money!”

Needless to say, we were out 3,000.00 and no refund. I could just cry, and I did! And to make matters worse, they still call using a robot to have you call them back. If you see the word Brisco, Texas show up on your caller ID, it’s them.

I wish all of the people who are being scammed every minute of everyday peace of mind someday. Good luck getting anything back from these “assholes”. They make their weekly paycheck from your bank account. “Pond Scum”!
